Hire Sharon to step onto your bus and conduct a tour of the Mankato area.
In 1049, this 65 foot elevator was moved from near Lake Crystal, over the Rapidan Dam to its current location. According to the Blue Earth County Historical Society, 2000 people watched as the tall elevator was moved across the dam and up a steep hill. In the process, the building had to be raised 2 additional feet to clear the bridge railings.
When things open up and we can again do our tours.
Hire Sharon to step onto your bus and conduct a tour of the Mankato area. Her minimum charge is $100.00 for up to 2 hours.
The two-hour history tour includes driving by the Betsy-Tacy homes, Reconciliation Park (where the Indians were hanged), see where the Jesse James gang camped, and see the elevator that crossed the dam and the dam plus other sites.
Try the new tasting experience and souvenir making adventure where you taste a variety of olive oils or vinegars and make a reminder of your visit to North Mankato. The cost would be $10.00 per person and you need to allow 3 hours.
There are other things to see and do in the Mankato area also that might include seeing the Bison, visiting a metal worker’s creations, shopping or learning about genealogy.
Let Sharon know when you will be in the area and what you would like to see.
