My life has involved a wide variety of activities, many of which I still work at, which include:Owner and operator of a craft store; where I enjoy meeting people, doing silk flower weddings, teaching classes and doing demonstrations.Having a cottage food license that allows me to can and bake in my kitchenAs you can see by my garden picture, I love the garden and also many more farm agricultural activities.Having Blue Earth County condemn the homestead on my farm for County Road 90. Graduating from Mankato State College with a teaching degree in Business Education and Social Studies. Loving local history and conducting tours as a step-on guide for tour buses coming into our area. I live on the Century Farm that my Great Grandfather settled in 1856. He had come from Wales through Wisconsin and made his home in South Bend Township.

You can sign up for a 2-hour history tour, or a 2-hour Betsy-Tracy tour, or we can customize a tour so you can see and learn about anything you desire.
Fans of Maud Hart Lovelace will recognize the Mankato River Valley that inspired the Betsy-Tracy books. We can drive by locations featured in her stories, including her restored childhood home.

HISTORIAN
History comes alive here, too. You can see the area where French explorer Pierre Le Sueur traveled in the late 1600’s, and learn how names of Blue Earth, Le Sueur, and Mankato reflect the region’s early history. We’ll learn about the Dakota Conflict and the trial held in Mankato when we see Reconciliation Park.
We can visit Minneopa State Park and Learn about the Seppman flour Mill, and have a chance to see a heard of free roaming Bison.
If arranged in advance, we can stop at my Century Farm to purchase pre-ordered candy, homemade jams, baked goods, and vintage farm magazines.
